Simon is responsible for asset management, specialising in the UK office and industrial sectors. Prior to joining ARA Dunedin, Simon has worked at a number of leading property companies and previously as Head of Asset Management.
Simon has more than 20 years of real estate experience across asset, investment and fund management, having worked closely with leading strategic investment partners. Simon began his career at King Sturge where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor, having formerly been Commissioned as an Officer in the British Army.
David is Head of Capital Markets, jointly responsible for investment origination and business development with a particular and specific focus on capital partner relationships and thematic investment strategies.
David joined ARA Dunedin from his previous roles as CEO of Valad Europe/Cromwell Europe and has over 40 years experience in real estate development, asset management and funds management.
David has been based in Europe for over 16 years, previously holding leadership roles in Asia and Australia covering wholesale funds management, opportunity funds and city development, bringing a global perspective to the European business.
Leonard joined ARA Dunedin in 2021 and is responsible for originating, managing capital partner relationships, and overseeing strategic initiatives. He has 12 years of experience in the real estate sector and has held roles in equity, credit, and agency.
Leonard was previously the Director responsible for UK and Ireland Lending at LoanCore Capital, where he sourced and managed a £250 mil book of value-add loans. Prior to LoanCore, Leonard held positions at Savills and RBS.
Leonard obtained an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from the University at Buffalo.
Charlie joined ARA Dunedin in December 2020 and is responsible for asset management. His experience includes Real Estate investment, portfolio, and asset management. Charlies experience covers the UK, Europe, and Asian markets, across risk profiles from core, value add to development. He has worked with Jersey and Guernsey Fund Boards and reported to Institutional and Ultra High Net Worth Investors.
Prior to joining ARA Dunedin, Charlie worked as a Senior Analyst at Celvam, where he was asset manager of a UK and Central London Office Portfolio. Previously Charlie worked at Ahli United Bank, responsible for portfolio management of a UK Commercial Multi sector portfolio. Charlie is currently reading a Masters in Real Estate at the University of Cambridge and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Gareth joined Dunedin in 2004 and has Client Accounting and Service Charge Responsibilities. Prior to joining Dunedin, Gareth worked at Farebrother, focusing on large scale residential and office portfolios in London
Gareth’s client management experience includes large-scale shopping centres, offices and industrial properties, and he was instrumental in the Dunedin IT implementation of Yardi Propware and laterally Voyager in 2017.
Gareth has extensive experience in client accounting and has overseen many client accounting handovers before, during and after the sale period; along with ensuring the day to day client accounting is run smoothly and always in accordance with RICS guidelines.
Chris joined Dunedin in 2016 and is responsible for all financial reporting to joint venture (JV) partners. He also manages the JV annual reporting and compliance processes alongside external auditors, and has oversight of the organisation’s computerised infrastructure and Property Management System.
Prior to joining Dunedin, Chris worked with Bilfinger GVA for 7 years where he headed the Corporate Accounting team in Scotland. During this time, he was the main accountant for key clients including The Blackstone Group.
Chris has extensive experience of managing and running the AP and AR accounting function in accordance with RICS guidelines, and has led various system implementations and data migrations.
Adam joined ARA Dunedin in March 2020 and is responsible for financial modelling and analysis of new and existing ventures.
Prior to joining ARA Dunedin, Adam worked as an analyst at CIT Group Partners, where he led the financial side of two large London development projects: HYLO, a prime city fringe back to frame office development, and an ultra-prime residential development, Regent’s Crescent.
Previously Adam worked at Clearbell Capital and was responsible for financial modelling and analysis across two opportunistic funds of c.£1bn AUM.
Adam has completed over £400m of real estate transactions, in addition to refinance deals, and holds a Masters in Physics from Durham University.
Gordon joined Dunedin in 2002 and has been responsible for the sourcing and purchase of properties across the UK, together with the preparation of business plans, implementation of asset management strategies and subsequent disposal of assets.
He has significant experience in portfolio cashflow modelling together with responsibility for reporting to JV partners, banks and Jersey Trustees on all property issues, income risk and disposal strategies.
As well as being a Member of the RICS, Gordon has an MBA and previously worked at Gooch and Wagstaff in London and Glasgow in the Investment, Property Management and Agency teams.
Albie joined Dunedin in 2001 having previously been the group’s tax advisor since 1996 whilst at Deloitte. Albie is responsible for financial and corporate matters, reporting to JV partners, funders and banks on financial performance and compliance.
Prior to joining Dunedin, Albie spent 11 years with Deloitte, primarily in the tax and corporate finance department advising property companies.
Albie qualified as a chartered accountant with ICAS in 1988.
Roun founded Dunedin Property in 1996 and is the Chief Executive Officer of ARA Dunedin, taking primary responsibility for corporate finance, deal structuring and managing commercial relationships, in addition to managing acquisitions and investment strategy.
Roun has over 30 years of direct real estate experience; before founding Dunedin, Roun spent 4 years with ING Real Estate where he was responsible for managing the UK portfolio. Prior to ING Real Estate, he was a Partner at Jones Lang LaSalle where he was responsible for West End investment and development for more than 5 years.
Roun trained as a lawyer but has spent his entire career in real estate investment and asset management.
Mark is Chief Executive Officer of ARA Europe, responsible for identifying and executing business and investment opportunities in Europe. He covers both private and public markets, funds management initiatives, and drives acquisitive and organic growth in the platform.
Mark is concurrently Chairman of both ARA Dunedin, ARA’s joint venture (JV) with Dunedin Property Asset Management to invest in and manage real estate assets in the United Kingdom, and ARA Venn, ARA’s JV with Venn Partners to invest in and manage funds and other ownership vehicles covering real estate credit strategies in Europe. He is also responsible for the Group’s real estate credit initiatives and a member of the ARA Group Business Development Committee which drives and coordinates all new business initiatives.
